Danielle`s cards always make me swoon - I LOVE LOVE LOVE this whimsical style - yet i am not able to make cards that look even HALF as adorable as hers.
When I saw this week`s MIM challenge and another perfect whimsical card of hers I was like `you know what, if you don`t practice, it`ll never get better´ and this is so true.
So ....... I went into my craft room and tried. And tried. And tried.
Always telling myself: `you`ve got to LAYER things. You need LAYERS!´ Such a big challenge for me, I tell you.
In the end, my card didn`t get any better than this (and this is already REALLY good for me, believe me!)
Beneath the stamped poinsettias there are two more cut from vellum - told you I layered!!!! :-))) and two banners cut out from some patterned paper. I stamped the sentiment with Versamark Ink onto a banner from vellum and heat embossed it with gold embossing powder.
I tied a bow with 3 loops on each side (have never done that before) and used some sequins to finish my card.
Maybe there`s someone out there who likes it :-))))))))
Thanks for visiting!
