MIM #139: second card

I´m trying to get myself ready for the real ´Christmas mood´ so creating a few more Christmas cards seemed to be a good way to get started.
So .... why not create another frame for this week`s MIM? :-)
And why not create a little shaker card as those sweet shiny stars you see in the picture were sold in my favorite store?
And this is it:

First I used the `stitched mats rectangles´ from Lil Inker Designs - these mats make everything pretty with those tiny stitches, just the tiny bit of an extra!
Then I cut a mat out of rustic white cardstock and distressed the edges with some iced spruce distress ink. I cut another panel out of pure poppy cardstock and started stamping my frame with ´boutique borders baby´. The same stamp I used on my first card, but this time I only inked up the upper half of the stamp.
After the frame was stamped I masked it off with some post its and stamped on the inside of the frame with the ´crackle´ stamp from Papertrey (using Memories Unicorn White Ink)
Then I cut out the star using the `Seeing Stars Die Collection´ (the medium star) and adhered a piece of acetate on the inside to create my window. Inside it you see those sparkly stars I bought at my local store. Finished my card off with some lace and a sentiment from `holiday lights´.
Hope you like my card and thank you so much for stopping by! :-)

  1. WOW, Birgit, this is simply BEAUTIFUL! I love that you also created it as a shaker card! Beautifully done!

  2. Love shakers, and your star frame and pieces in the shaker are the perfect accents. Great crackle bg too!

  3. Gorgeous shaker card! Love your stars and the border sets it off nicely. And I just ordered those stitched mats dies ;)

    1. Hahaha! I tell you Kathryn, you will LOVE those stitched mats ;-) Really have to tell myself not to use them on EVERY Card :-))))

  4. What a fun card! Love the crackle as the stars inside!
